The Emily Pearl Partnership is a dream about a fully productive community that brings to life untapped potential in our Down Syndrome and Autistic communities. In doing so this will create a symbiotic relationship with other residents, the greater community and other stakeholders.
The stats are out there
The thousands of families who live with the challenges that come from these diagnoses know all too well the effects of inadequate education, ineffective and superficial services misappropriated care and few if any meaningful work opportunities. There are just far too few bridges to productive relationships for children, youth and their families within their communities.
A myriad of policies, laws and rules protecting the interest of those with disabilities does not change this reality.
